Daily maintenance for your commercial oven - to limit repairs:

• Daily maintenance and care is recommended for prolonged life of the appliance as well as energy saving purposes. 

• Every day cleaning, especially at the end of each service. If this cleaning is not done at the end of each day any food debris left in the oven will solidify and will cause a build up and issues will occur with oven operation.

• Door seals must be cleaned carefully each day. The purpose of the oven seal is to trap heat inside of the oven. If there are any gaps in the seal you can lose heat and increase energy consumption. 

• Slamming of doors must be taken into consideration and kept to a minimum to minimise the amount of replacement parts on the doors such as seals and combi oven door hinge repairs/replacements. 

• Teaching site staff how long an oven takes to get up to temperature is essential in energy consumption saving. It is possible to turn off the oven when not in use even in busy kitchens.
